It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the official website of Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing (MDIN). Education has always been the most powerful instrument for nation-building. Having completed my own graduation, I firmly believed that meaningful social change could only be achieved through quality education. This belief inspired me to dedicate my efforts towards strengthening the healthcare education sector. With this vision, under the aegis of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewarth Trust, we established the Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing in 2011 to contribute towards addressing the growing demand for skilled nursing professionals in India.

At that time, India was witnessing an acute shortage of trained nurses and allied healthcare personnel. Our objective was never merely to establish another educational institution; it was to create a centre of excellence that would produce healthcare leaders capable of making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Today, I feel proud to witness how this vision has transformed into reality. Over the years, nearly 2,000 nursing professionals have successfully graduated from our institution and are serving with distinction in reputed government hospitals, private healthcare institutions, educational organizations, research centres, and international healthcare systems.

As Chairman of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewarth Trust, I strongly believe that true education must combine knowledge with character. Professional competence without compassion is incomplete. Therefore, we strive to cultivate values of honesty, humility, discipline, empathy, and service alongside academic excellence.

My central objective has always been to sustain a high-tier academic ecosystem. Whether mentoring our postgraduate scholars or anchoring foundational clinical skills for our undergraduate and diploma cohorts, our modern curriculum is meticulously calibrated. We prepare our students to meet global benchmarks, navigate complex hospital administrative frameworks, and confidently excel in high-acuity medical environments across private, state and national corporate healthcare sectors.

Grounded in my personal legacy of dedicating 15 years to elite postgraduate mentorship and contributing 15 authoritative studies to global, peer-reviewed indices like Scopus and Web of Science, we cultivate an environment where research is never just an academic requirement. It is my privilege to welcome you to Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing (MDIN). Every institution is built on a vision, but its true strength lies in the values it upholds. At MDIN, we believe that nursing education extends far beyond classrooms and examinations. It is about developing competent professionals who combine scientific knowledge with empathy, discipline, ethical conduct, and an unwavering commitment to patient care.

My own journey has been guided by these very principles. I had the honour of serving in the Indian Air Force, where discipline, teamwork, courage, and commitment to duty became the foundation of my life. After completing my tenure in the armed forces, my desire to serve the nation continued through the field of education. Principal for nearly 18 years at Sunrise Modern School, Sarsod, strengthened my conviction that quality education not only builds careers but also shapes responsible citizens and future leaders.

For the past several years, I have had the honour of serving as the Director of Maharishi Dayanand Institute of Nursing. This journey has reaffirmed my belief that the qualities required in a soldier and those required in an excellent nurse are remarkably similar—discipline, dedication, resilience, presence of mind, compassion, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Alongside academic excellence, we place equal emphasis on personality development, communication skills, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and lifelong learning. These qualities enable our students to excel globally in various fields of healthcare.
